37 TEAMS ENTER EASTER TOURNAMENT Thirty-seven teams competed in the seven-a-side tournament held by the Central Bay of Plenty Association at Edgecumbe on Easter Monday. Three fields were available for play and teams were divided into A "and B grades. Altogether 88 matches were played and a good crowd of supporters witnessed keenly contested games. Whakatane hockey umpires officiated the games and the St John Ambulance were in attendance. The results, giving points gained, are as follows: — A Grade: Women: Te Teko A 8, Poroporo A ,5, Tauranga 5, Edgecumbe 4, Apanui 4, Whakatane 3; winners, Te Teko A. Men: No. 1 Section: Poroporo A 7, Riverslea 5, Matata 4, Whakatane A 3, Apa- * nui B 1. No. 2 Section: Roosters 7, Tauranga 4, Awakeri 4, Apanui A 3, Otakiri A 2; winners, Robsters 1, Poroporo A 0. B Grade: Women: No. 1 Section, Paroa 7, Poroporo A 6, Otakiri A 6. Matata 4, Rangers 3. Taneatua 2; No. 2 Section, Huimai 9, Reporoa 6, Otakiri B 5, Awakeri 5, Te Teko B 2, Otakiri C 2; winners, Huimai 1, Paroa 0. Men: No. 1 Section, Te Teko 5, Rangers 4, Otakiri B 2, Whakatane B 1; No. 2 Section, Reporoa 8, Taneatua 6, Otakiri C 4; winners, Reporoa 1, Te Teko 0.
