World Demand For Pedigree Farm Stock
There has been an increasing world demand for Britain’s pedigree farm stock in the past six months, Many' of the animals have come to New Zealand. Sales have soared. This is partly a sequel to the record number of foreign visitors at the summer shows, most of them potential buyers for Continental countries restocking after their war losses. /
Breeders and shippers declare the high cost of transport by sea is a deterrent to this trade, which otherwise would be much larger. Another British firm also reports a definite increase in shipments last year. Their total of 200 to 22 different countries included New Zealand.
