Quotations Decline At Pig Sale

A small yarding of baconers and a large yarding of heavy porkers, stores and slips came forward to the fortnightly Opotiki pig sale conducted by Dalgety and Co. Ltd. Heavy bacon and good porkers fully maintaining good values while stores and slips showed a marked decline on previous quotations this being equable to the dry conditions that have been experienced. Realisations were: —

Prime heavy bacon, £6 to £ls; heavy bacon, £6 10s ium bacon. £6 to £6 9s;" heavy porkers, £5 9s to £5 16s; light porkers, £4 7s to £5; small stores, £3 to £3 10s; slips, according to quality, £2 to £2 14s; smaller sorts range from 32s 6d to £2 ss.
