SEASON AT WHAKATANE OPENING

Although players have been out on the links in increasing numbers during the past few weeks the golf season of the Whakatane Club is to officially open tomorrow when a Canadian mixed foursome will be played. An invitation is extended to members of other clubs to be present. < After the dry weather experienced during the summer the links are 1 beginning to pick up again and a big improvement has been noticed in the fairways and greens. Some good golf is expected this year.
