COUNSEL EXPLAINS

Sir, —May 1 compliment you on your report of the incident in the Magistrate’s Court last week, when I withdrew from a case in which I was engaged as counsel. However, the report leaves somewhat in doubt the question as to exactly why I withdrew. I did so. not because my objection was overruled, but because I was refused a hearing in support of my objection. Yours etc.,

W. G. CLAVIS.
