In the final match of the Whakatane Cricket Association’s knockout competition Edgecumbe defeated P. and T. by 34 runs on the first innings at Whakatane. Details:—
Edgecumbe 75 (Elliot 23, A. McGee 14; Cleland 1 for 1, Burt 3 for 3) and 40 (E. Tunnicliffe 49; J. Rivett 7 for 18, Malaquin 2 for 7) beat P. and T. 45 (Cleland 21; Thurlow 7 for 15, K. Watson 2 for 10) and 4 for 41 at stumps (Cassidy 16, Whitcher 10; Brown 3 for 12). WEEK-END TEAMS The following team has been selected to represent the Whakatane Cricket Association against Thames Colts on Easter Monday at Whakatane:—
