Total Clearance & Keen Competition At Stock Sale
Dalgety & and Co. Ltd. report having held their fortnightly stock sale on Thursday at Opotiki when there was a small yarding of sheep and a large yarding of forward condition and boner cattle. Competition was keen and a total clearance was effected. Realisations were:—•
Sheep: Aged ewes R.W.S.D. rams 22s 3d, small black faced lambs to 14s. Cattle: Medium Jersey steers £lO to £ll 15s, heavy fat Jersey cows £9 17s 6d to £ll, medium £8 to £8 19s, good heavy boners £7 to £7 15s, medium quality £6 10s to £7, light £5 to £5 14s, aged cows carrying very little condition £4 to £4 13s, cows with calves at foo,t £7 to £lO, potter bulls, according to weight £8 to £l3, small yearling heifers in good condition to £5 10s.
