REGATTA CREWS TO RACE AT WHAKATANE

Those who were unable to see members of the Whakatane Rowing Club’s regatta crews in action last week because of rain will have another opportunity tomorrow morning when races will be held for the President’s Trophy between different crews. Timed to start at 9.30 all races will be over a mile and spectators will be able to see the finishes of each race, which will be off the club shed in Quay Street.

Although regatta training has been eased off in the last few weeks crews have still been out to keep in trim for tomorrow’s events and the big racing day on April 15, when the season will be officially closed.
