Red Cross Honours Mrs W Sullivan

Popular- Mrs W. Sullivan, President of the Whakatane Red Cross Society for the last eight years, was the recipient of a beautiful floral spray at the well attended annual meeting. The president of the branch, Mrs B. S. Barry, said how much it was regretted Mrs Sullivan would be spending the greater part of her time now in Wellington. Her service to Red Cross was widely known and her guidance and assistance very much appreciated. It was decided to donate £SO to the Food for Britain Fund and £lO to the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Officers elected:— President, Mrs B. S. vicepresidents, Mesdames W. Sullivan, T. W. James, C. S. Armstrong; secretary, Mrs L. D. Lovelock; treasurer, Mr J. Duthie; Mr R. Mollgaard; committee, Mesdames S. S. Shapley, Hopgood, G. Comiskey, O. Hamill and McLeod; sewing convenor, Mrs Hamill; centre committee delegates, Mesdames Sullivan, Barry, A. W. Winstone and L. D. . Lovelock.
