Rowing

REGATTA CREWS WILL RACE TOMORROW With regatta racing now finished for the year but the season still far from being ended the Whakatane Rowing Club will now carry on with trial four trophy races starting from tomorrow when crews will compete for the Cucksey Cup over a course of one mile. With all rowers still fit from their concentrated regatta work some fast racing is expected and it is thought will last all the morning. Timed to start at 9 a.m all races will probably have to be run off promptly as ..a large number of crews are expected to take part. An invitation has been extended to the public and supporters of the Club to see some of the regatta crews in action and to watch the finish of the races, which will be off the club shed in Quay Street
