Presentation Made To Retiring Officers
A presentation to the retiring president, Mrs E. Cooper, and secretary, Miss D. Richardson, was made by the vice-president, Mrs E. Shuker, at the annual meeting of the Kowhai Women’s Institute held at Whakatane. A recitation by Mrs M. Thatcher was thoroughly enjoyed. Officers elected were:—
President, Mrs Cooper; secretary, Miss D. Harding; treasurer, Mrs R. Herbison.
Competiton winners: Spray of Weeds, Miss G. Sutcliffe 1, Mrs W. Hills 2, Mrs C. D. Molesworth 3; crochet mat, Miss Richardson 1, Mrs Herbison 2, Mrs R. Price 3; lucky number, Mrs C. Millar 1. Hostesses were Mesdames A. Canning, Molesworth and M. Rae.
