Successful Plunket Party At Thornton
A highly successful and pleasant luncheon garden party conducted by the Rangitaiki Plunket Society at the home of Mrs D. Spence, Thornton, drew a large crowd. A well stocked stall did brisk business during the day while a buffet lunch under shady trees proved very popular. V A hat parade and races for the small children finished off the day.
Winners of the various games held during the afternoon were:— < Ball throwing, Mrs J. Carter; pennies in bucket, Mrs R. Burgess; bamboo stick, Mrs E. Hall; novelty golf, Mrs R. Withy.
