GOOD ENTRIES FOR EDGECUMBE
A record number of entries have been received for the Rangitaiki Axemen’s Carnival to be held at Edgecumbe tomorrow. Entries include the New Zealand Champion J. Murray and the winner of the £l5O chop at Putaruru recently, S. Haupapa, Taumarunui. Good prizes have been offered and some splendid chopping is expected. I
In the knockout hockey competition entries have been received from 40 teams, some as far away as the Waikato.
