By defeating Waimana at Wha- ’ katane on Sunday P. and T. clinched the final result of the Collins Shield cricket competition and retained the trophy after one of their most successful seasons. There was some attractive cricket in Sunday’s game with the home team taking the match by 108 runs on the first innings. Details: — _ P. and T. 246 (J. B. Rivett 120, F. Paton 56, R. Cleland 15; J. Ruff 4 for 85, J. Lowe 5 for 46) beat Waimana 138 (S. McConnell 44, McConachie 37; Cleland 7 for 48).
