RECORD HIGH STANDARD OF ENTRIES

SUCCESSFUL SHOW HELD BY W.I. AT WAIMANA

The annual show of the Waimana Women’s Institute was one of the most successful yet staged. The standard of all exhibits was very high according to the judges and drew favourable comment from many outside visitors. There were hundreds of entries, which included some from four schools in the school sections, some very good work coming forward. ' The show was. open during the afternoon and evening, and then a dance followed, King’s orchestra supplying the music and Mr A. Bell played extras^

During evening, Mr M. King presented trophies and special prizes won during the day. He congratulated the members of the Institute on such a splendid show, and remarked how the shed exhibits at the recent A. and P.
