Obituary
WILLIAM AUGUSTUS HUTTON After a brief illness, a wellknown resident of Whakatane, Mr W. A. Hutton, died on Sunday. A son of the late J. W. Hutton, at one time Chief Postmaster at Wellington, Mr Hutton was educated at the South School, Oamaru, and the Waitaki Boys High School. He graduated B. Sc. in Civil Engineering from Canterbury College, and later followed the profession of surveyor in the Wairarapa. As Mayor of Greytown and a foundation member of the Wairarapa Power Board, the late Mr Hutton was a prominent figure throughout, that area. In 1932 he acquired a farm at Onepu, and since that time, in addition to farming, has been in practise in his profession throughout the district. - Mr Hutton leaves a widow for whom very much sympathy will be felt by a wide circle of friends.
