Many Will Vote At Licensing Poll

Only those people who* are registered on the Bay of Plenty district European roll will be able to vote in the Licensing Poll tomorrow. Booths will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the day and for those people who live more than 2i miles from a booth postal facilities are available but the papers with the votes on them must be in the district licensing officer's hands at the Rotorua Courthouse or at any polling booth by 7 p.m. tomorrow. Present indications are that more people will be voting at this election than at any other previously held. Polling booths have been arranged at the following places:— Whakatane Courthouse; Presbyterian Hall, Edgecumbe; Taneatua Hall; Opotiki Courthouse. Ten nominations have been received for the committee.
