Galatea School Had Happy Picnic Day

A happy crowd of children and parents gathered in one of Mr Grant's paddocks, at Kopuriki, near the rabbit bridge last week for the Galatea School's annual picnic. The weather was fine and warm so that the shade of the willows and poplars was much appreciated, especially by the adults who found ift enchanting just to watch the exuberant exersions of the children. Flat and novelty races, ice creams and soft drinks were thoroughly enjoyed by the youngsters. Treasure hunts and lolly scrambles proved as popular as ever.
