Many Delegates At W.D.F.F. Meeting

Delegates were welcomed from Auahui, Te Teko, Murupara-Gal-atea and Opotiki to the quarterly meeting of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Provincial Executive of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, held at Whakatane. Two remits dealing with capital punishment and life imprisonment were handled before sending forward to the Dominion headquarters. The meeting decided to support the Teachers’ Institute in its move to change the school leaving age from 15 years to two years secondary education. Arrangements were finalised for the inter-provincial conference to be held in the Awakeri Hall on June 14.
