CREWS TRAINING FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Encouraged by their success at the Tauranga rowing regatta on Saturday crews of the Whakatane Rowing Club have continued their intensive training this week in preparation for the Auckland Provincal Rowihg Championships at Mercer on March 11. Most of the regatta crews will be competing then and it is hoped to be able to win at least one championship. Although naturally pleased with the wins at Tauranga the coach, Mr C. D. Molesworth, has warned all crews that they will have to be at their peak form as competition is likely to be very much harder at Mercer. After the wins at Tauranga some club officials were afraid the crews might slacken off in their training schedule but all have stepped back well in to it so far.
