Maori Tennis Teams Selected
A strong Whakatane Maori tennis team has been selected to meet Tuhoe in a senior game for the Wilson Cup at Poroporo on Saturday. The team:— Men: S. Davis, H. Ranapia, T. Riini, B. Taylor, J. Wano, J. Tunui. Women: A. Ngoungou, M. Wahapango, E. Ranapia, D. Harawira. The following is the Whakatane Maori junior tennis team to play the finals for the Wahahura and Wilson trophies against Waimana at Poroporo on Sunday:— t Boys: S. Wano, P. Mason, J. Mason, T. Nathan, W. Kingi, B. Harawira. Girls: E. Ranapia, D. Harawira, J. Ratene, P. Nathan. The Waimana team is:—
Boys: P. Te Wini, B. Boynton, G. Hillman, T. Takao, P. Smith, T. Te Wini, P. Te Wairua, J.* Boynton. Girls: J. Ball, Te Pofi, O. Fisher, P. Tukiwaho, C. Boynton, I. Fisher.
