Steel Furniture
A new method of using steel in the manufacture of upholstered furniture has been developed in the United States. A welded steel framework is used to provide strength and firmness. It is covered with wood sections used for styling and to provide surfaces into which upholstery tacks can be driven easily. The framework also supports steel spring formations for the seats and back of the furniture, making loose filling material, twine tying, and perishable ports unnecessary.
