Amended Rotorua Air Service Sought

Recently the Opotiki Chamber of Commerce wrote to National Airways Corporation enquiring if there was any possibility of deferring the departure of the morning plane from Rotorua by about half an hour so as to enable passengers by service car from Opotiki to connect. The National Airways Corporation replied to the chamber regretting that this delay could not be scheduled in view of the fact that this particular aircraft connects with the Hamilton-Wellington service which in turn makes certain connections in Wellington for Christchurch, etc. If the alteration were possible at some future date, the chamber could rest assured that they would be only too happy to provide this facility for Opotiki travellers.
