On Saturday at the Whakatane Bowling Club’s green the holders of the R. F. Smith Stars, D. Butler’s team, went down by one point to P. Dixon’s team after a very even and keenly contested game. Results were:— R. F. Smith Stars: B. Bradlev, R. Stewart, J. Wilson, P„ Dixon 19 v G. Drayson, C. Butler, E. Grant, D. Butler 18. Wally Smith Stars: G Howat, C. R. Coates, 22 v S. Shapley, A. Atkinson 20. Junior Stars: H. Morgan, H. Pearson 27 v D Bridger, J. Whitehead 14. Other results: E. Bullot, H. Cantrell, J. Murphy 24 v C. Head, J. Alexander, A. Mclsaac 21; J. Graham, C. Hollis, C.
