Show Arrangements Made By Taneatua W.I.

There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Taneatua Women’s Institute. Final arrangements were made for assisting with catering at the WhakataneRangitaiki A. and P. Show. Mrs Wylde, Waimana, gave an interesting demonstration on floral arrangement. A nursery rhyme competition arranged by Mrs A. Tebbutt was won by Mrs McDonald. Items by the Giee Club and a piano solo by Miss C. Doran were presented. Competitions were judged by Mrs Wylde and Mrs Potter as follows:

Best vegetable, Mrs H. Hill 1, Mrs Butler 2, Mrs Merrie 3; best flower, Mrs Grey 1, Mrs Merrie 2, Mrs Bennett 3; preserved plums, Mrs, Bennett 1; crocheted edge, Mrs Torrie 1, Mrs A. Tebbutt 2, Mrs Frost 3.
