Te Puke Stock Sale Attracts Fewer Pigs
A small yarding of pigs was penned but competition was firmer at the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co. Ltd’s, fortnightly stock sale held at Te Puke. A medium entry of cattle came forward and prices eased slightly on late quotations. Quotations: —
Pigs: Heavy baconers, £6 19s; medium baconers, £6 14s to £6 18s; light baconers, £6 5s to £6 10s; large buttermilks, £5 15s to £6 Is; medium buttermilks, £5 5s to £5 12s; smaller buttermilks. £4 10s to £5 2s; large stores, £4 5s to £4 12s; smaller, £3 14s to £4 2s. Cattle: Medium fat Hereford and P.A. cows, £l3; heavy fat Jersey cows, £9 to £lO 10s; light fat Jersey cows and heifers, £7 10s to £9 ss; heavy boners, £7 15s to £8 18s; medium boners, £6 5s to £7; light bon7 ers, £4 10s to £5 10s; potter bulls, £B.
