Full Yarding Comes Forward In Demand At Local Sheep Fair
The full advertised numbers of sheep came forward at the Whakatane fair of Messrs Dalgety'and Co. Ltd. Lambs were keenly sought after and the small yarding of ewes were disposed of under the hammer at very satisfactory prices. The whole yarding met with a ready sale with prices very firm' and slightly in advance of recent sales. Prices quoted:—
Fat and forward W.F. shorn wether lambs, 36s 6d; store W.F. wether lambs, 27s to 28s; store B.F. woolly lambs, small, 21s 6d; store B.F. woolly lambs, medium, 26s 6d; store B.F. shorn lpmbs, medium, 22s to 28s; medium W.F. ewe lambs, 35s to 365; small cull W.F. ewe lambs, 25s 6d to 265; cull lambs, 21s 6d to 23s 6d; 2th- ewes, £2 7s 6d to £2 13s; 6 year ewes to 37s 6d; 4th ewes, £2 13s 6d; cull ewes, 18s to *24s; aged S.D. rams, £2 10s.
