Festival Of Little Known St. Cecilia

In history the Christian world recognises two Saint Ceclias. The best "known is Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music, who is said to have suffered martyrdom in 230 A.D. in Italy. The festival falls on November 22. But on Saturday the festival of another but lesser known Saint of the same name was celebrated in some of the countries around the Mediterranean.

This Saint Cecilia is said to have been born in Africa and suffered martyrdom by starvation under Diocletian. Most eastern countries recognise the day of her festival as ( February 11.
