Londoners To See Actual N.Z. State House & Furniture
Wool’s important place in the furnishing of the modern New Zealand home will be demonstrated to the million and a half British people overseas who are expected to see the New Zealand State hotise which is being shown in London, next month. This house has been sent from New Zealand, the pioject being the joint financial responsibility of the New Zealand Government, the New Zealand Wbol Board, the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board and the New Zealand Dairy Products Marketing Commission. As part of its share the Wool Board has arranged for the house to be provided with a typical range of four different types of wool furnishing fabrics for the upholstery and curtains, each fabric being shown in several different colours. In addition, there are carpets, floor rugs, blankets and bed covers, all made of wool.
