UNITED CHALLENGED FOR WILLIAMS CUP In their first challenge since they won the trophy from Te Puke this season United are to deferid the Williams Cup against Rotorua R.S.A. at the ' Whakatane showgrounds. R.S.A. intend to field a particularly strong side for this challenge and the United selectors for this reason have been careful in the team they have chpsen to represent the club. Some good cricket is expected from the time play commences at 9 a.m

Four country clubs are scheduled to play in the weekly Whakatane competition on Sunday, the club taking the bye being P. and T. Playing on their home ground Waimana will meet Taneatua while Edgecumbe has drawn to play Te Teko at Edgecumbe. These games will continue the Collins Shield series.
