Who, in his excitement while the fire raged on the cliff face near the Heads on Wednesday night, left ’a pair of pants in the wrong truck? One of the minor mysteries in a few days of exciting action for firemen and members of the Legion of Frontiersmen who have been standing by ready, to help if need be, is the appearance of a strange pair of trousers in a Frontiersman’s truck. Needless to say, they are not a really posh job, and don’t fit the Frontiersman, or he would be keeping his peace, with good pants at something over £3 a pair.
