Liquor Near A Dance Hall
Caught with liquor in their possession in the vicipity of a dance hall in King Street, Whakatane, on November 19, 1949, Nigel Loring Bishop, factory hand, and Noel Murphy, farmhand, both of Whakatane, were each fined £3, costs £l, by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., yesterday. He had found both accused drinking beer from a bottle near the dance hall on the night of November 19, Constable R. F. Julian said. When he accosted the two men both admitted they had paid 3s each to enter the dance hall.
