Mrs L. O. Stewart returns to Whakatane tomorrow following 'a brief stay at Cambridge. Messrs G. Gartshore and J. Pearson, Whakatane, are at present holidaying at Auckland where they intend seeing the Empire Games. Mr and Mrs Bascomb returned to Whakatane yesterday after a weekend visit to the Waikato. Mrs R. S. Whittaker returned to Whakatane on Friday following a brief visit to Te Aroha. Mr G. W. Kemp left Whakatane on Saturday on /the first leg of his journey to Fiji where he is to take up a position as manager of a large warehouse. *
