Board For Teachers Is Still Urgently Wanted In Town

Although there has been some response to the appeal of the Whakatgne School Committee for temporary board at Whakatane or Ohope for teachers, it has so far not produced the amount of accommodation required. Up to the present three offers have been made at Whakatane and.two from Ohope. Board is required for teachers until the new teachers’ hostel is ready for occupation in three months’ time. Unless this can be obtained teachers unable to find some place to live will not come to Whakatane. Consequently the .school will suffer.

'' Board is still urgently required and the committee is appealing for assistance in this matter to Whakatane and Ohope residents.
