Local Horses Score At Tauranga

Quite a number of horses from this district were taken through to Tauranga on Saturday to compete in ring events at the A. and P. Show there. Competition was tough, and only two of the local horses brought back any ribbons, Jack Moore’s Nippy and Sandy Eivers’s Silver Link.

Nippy, a 14.2 pony, won the wire jump in open company, and gained second place to the cleverest, hunter, as well as third place in the best cob class.

Silver Link took third place in the pony jump and his owner-rider won the class for best boy rider under 15 years of age.
