Mr and Mrs E. N'. Gully and family, Gisborne, are at present on a camping holiday at Ohope.
Mr D. N. Boak, formerly of Tauranga, has been appointed assistantengineer of the Whakatane County.
Mr R. Ward’ returned to Whakatane on Friday after a prolonged visit to Hawke’s Bay. „
Mr C. H. Rrebner, Whakatarie County engineer, is at present visiting Wellington and is expected back at Whakatane on Wednesday.
Mr T. H. Morgan, Whakatane, has been- appointed secretary of the Opouriao Dairy Company to replace Mr J. Moody, who is retiring.
The Hon. W. Sullivan M.P., returned to Whakatane from Wellington on Friday. During the week-end he attended the Maori celebrations at Te Kaha. He returns to Wellington tomorrow.
Rev. T. M. Loten, the new Vicar of Whakatane, arrived on Friday from Takapau, and will be instituted by the Rt. Rev. N. A. Lesser, Bishop of Waiapu, tomorrow evening. ,
Mr T. Brassey, formerly Whakatane agent for Wright, Stephenson and Company, is now farming in Northland. He has been replaced at Whakatane by Mr E. A. Chamberlain.
Messrs G. Stitchbury, Te Puke, J. Parker, Gisborne, H. Tapsell, Maketu, and S. Woodford, Ruatoria, have been appointed testing officers of the Bay of Plenty Herd and East Coast Herd Improvement Association.
