COLOMBO CONFERENCE
Sir,—The Colombo conference must be confusing to the minds of the natives of Asia and Africa. Europe for centuries has sent missionaries with the message of peace and goodwill. But Europe has exploited Asia’s and Africa’s vast natural resources and their midions co the limit arid r»>ed with the red of fear. The conference may be regrrded by the exploited as an effort to allow the fear of losing that which was gained./ Britain has acknowledged Red China. Russia ignored its representative and walked out. Uncle Sam s munition mongers supplied the Reds' opponents with 125 million dollars worth of war material, which is equivalent to the gold the Nationals got away with and will be added to the pile that caused war I and II and will spur its owners to raise gold’s sterling value, and if humanity still sleeps cause the'rude awakening of war 111, which being interpreted means Kismet for the human race. But the words of Him who will ultimately triumph will ring true till time shall be no more. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul. Yours etc., H. SERGANT.
