TEAMS TRAINING FOR N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS Now that the Bay of Plenty sUrf championships have been concluded the Whakatane Surf Club’s ladies’ team is training strongly for the National Championships to be held at Wellington from January 27 to 29. Ten members will be travelling to the meeting and will compete in the six-man and resuscitation, they march past and the fourman alarm. About four women’s teams are expected to be at Wellington and it is almost certain that last year’s winners, Wellington ladies, will be defending their title. Other entries are expected from Island Bay (Wellington), and St. Clair (Dunedin).
