Boys' Brigade Camp Starting Tomorrow
Tomorrow the Boys’ - Brigade’s annual summer camp will start on Whale Island, and will continue for eight days. This -is the third year the camp has been held on the Island, and companies will be represented from Whakatane, Taneatua, Opotiki and Tauranga. The boys will embark for the Island at 7.30 a.m. tomorrow.
Accommodation tents will be grouped around the big centre marquee, which is to be used for wet weather meals and evening entertainments. Everything has been organised to the last detail, even down to pre-arranged distress's signals—smoke by day and fire by night—and the boys are keenly booking forward to fishing, climbing, swimming, exploring and the numerous fascinating occupations an island holiday can offer. / The camp will be under the control of Capt. Te Hira Ferguson, Ist Whakatane Coy, and assisting officers. x
