Knew The Knives He Would Never See
Not many people in the milling crowd of a Dunedin department » store noticed the little boy and the old man. Gently the fingers of the little boy touched the assortment of bottles of hair oil and shaving cream on the long counter as he slowly made his way along. His other hand was clasped in that of the old man. Suddenly the little boy’s face lit up. “Grandpa,” he said, “I think we are getting near the pocketknives.” With his fingers still lightly touching articles on the counter, he made his way toward the pocketknives he would never see.
