Last W.I. Meeting Held at Taneatua
The Christmas meeting .of the Taneatua W.I. was well attended and one of -the most enjoyable of the year. A profitable credit balance was shown to have resulted from the recent W.I. show and Mrs Hayward presented special trophies, which had been won. A competition arranged by Mrs Butler was won by Mrs Wright. The roll call “My greatest blessing” showed a general appreciation of the blessing of good health. Carols were sung by the glee club and created a Christmas atmosphere. An amusing sketch was presented by Mesdames H. Sisam, Gardner, McDonald and K. Tebbutt. Competitions were judged by Mrs Wylde and resulted:— Sausage rolls, Mrs Bennett 1; novelty Christmas gift, Mrs G. Hill 1, Mrs Grey 2, Mrs Torrie 3; best flower, Mrs Bennett 1, Mrs Grey 2, Mrs R„ McGougan 3; best vegetable, Mrs Grey 1, Mrs Ducker 2, Mrs Bennett 3.
