FIRE BRIGADE’S ANNUAL TROPHY PRESENTATIONS
' There was an excellent muster at the Whakatane Volunteer Fire Brigade’s annual wind-up and presentation of trophies this week. Firemen and their guests spent a con-
wivial evening. During an appropriate pause in the proceedings, Deputy-Superin-tendent B. Norman, on behalf of ■fellow-members of the Brigade, •presented Superintendent T. Hurndell with two chairs as a mark of •appreciation of his work for and With the Brigade during the year. •Mr S. Shapley, chairman of the Fire Board, also spoke before the company drank the Superintendent’s health with musical honours. Mr Shapley presented the ' honours and tfopnies. *• Trophy winners: Jimmy Hall
