Santa Clans Arrives In A Jeep

Arriving in a gaily coloured jeep Santa Claus distributed gifts 'and sweets to all the children at the Christmas party of the Edgecumbe Women’s Institute. The party drew a large crowd and bouquets were presented to Mesdames H. M. Carter, T. G. Roberts and D. Spence. A quantity of food collected by the Institute is to be sent to Europe through the Edgecumbe SubBranch of the Red Cross. Competition results: —

Vegetables: Mrs O. Parsons , Mrs J. Crang 2, Mrs L. Wilson 3. Flower: Mrs Watkin 1, Mrs Wilson 2, Mesdames Parsons and J. Black 3 equal.
