Used Cement Without A Permit
Because he had an over supply of cement that was beginning to go hard Kenneth Parkinson (Mr Barry) builder, Whakatane, decided to use it to build a concrete path and fence rather than see it wasted. He used the materials and as a result was charged by the District Building Controller (Mr Otley) before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court yesterday with using cement without first obtaining a permit.
Found, guilty on both charges he was fined £4, costs £5 4s.
