Concert Makes £loo For Child Cripples
As a result of last night’s concert sponsored in the Grand Theatre by the Whakatane Rotary Club, the Crippled Children’s Society is the richer by £IOO. As that figure indicates, the attendance was a large one—about 800 through the generosity of local citizens, the expenses were negligible. Local talent provided a programme that delighted the crowd, well-varied, and with more than a dash jof humour.
