Wool Bursaries Now Being Offered New Zealand Scientists

As part of a world-wide plan of wool research, the New Zealand Wool Board invites young New Zealand scientists to apply for two bursaries which will take the successful applicants overseas next year for a two-year course of research at any approved wool research institution. Three such bursars are already a twork in the United Kingdam and in America, and a fourth is about to leave for Britain. Two bursaries are awarded annually by the Wool Board. Each is worth £4OO sterling a year for two years.

The object is to give University graduates with degrees in Science or Agriculture an opportunity of widening their research- experience by overseas study; and so that the wool-growing and sheepfarming industries of the Dominion will benefit, bursars are required to return to New Zealand and work here for three years., i The Board will choose the successful applicants soon after February 20, 1950, when applications close. All details are available from the Board’s office in Wellington.
