N.Z. Exports Wool To France And Russia
New Zealand wool was shipped to 25 different overseas countries in the first three month's of the current production season, from July 1 to September 30 inclusive, states the New Zealand Wool Board. Of a total of 209,101 bales exported nearly 60 per cent went to Britain, traditionally New Zealand’s best customer for wool. France took the second greatest quantity and the United States and Russia were third and fourth on the list. Germany and Japan both took considerable quantities. The wool exported during the quarter consisted of 121,870 greasy bales, 45,310 were slipe and 41,921 were scoured. .
