Programme Arranged For Concert To Aid Crippled Children

Arrangements for the concert planned by the Whakatane Rotary Club to raise funds for the Crippled Children’s Society have now been almost completed and the prepared programme will present a variety of local performers. The concert is to be held in the Grand Theatre on Tuesday night. Denham; train ballet (Miss Miller’s pupils); elocution, Mrs Hepburn; piano, J. Snodgrass; song, Mrs T. Henderson; sketch, ministering angels; vocal duet, Anderson sisters, Awakeri; humorous monologue, Harry Armstrong; cowboy yodeller; band; duet, O’Rourke Brothers; lightning sketch, H. Hauesler; song, Mrs Ferguson; humour, Tony Smith; piano solo, H. Waite; song, D. O. Stewart; violin solo, Mrs Larmer; song, Miss D. Stewart; piano accordion, Kevin Lysaght; solo tap dance, Miss Shirley White; apologies to Mr G and Mr S (sketch;) sketch, Mrs Ferguson and company.
