Patriotic Executive Changes Control
The control of the Whakatane Zone executive of the Bay of Plenty Provincial Patriotic Council has been changed and will now consist of seven members representing the chairman of the Whakatane County Council, the Mayor of Whakatane, the Whakatane County and Borough Red. Cross Societies, the Returned Services’ Association, the Home Services’ Association, the Maori race living in the Whakatane County or Borough and a secretary. This new arrangement for the control of the Whakatane area was decided on at a meeting of the Zone executive at Whakatane on Monday.
