Governor-General Leaves Taneatua
Concluding his fishing trip in the Whakatane district on Monday the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg accompanied by Lady Freyberg, left Taneatua yesterday morning by train in the vice-regal carriage for Wellington. During his stay the Governor-General fished in the Waioeka, Waimana and Whakatane rivers with only moderate success in each case.
\ Sir Bernard took some time off from fishing to visit the Whakatane Board Mills and Ohope Beach, which particularly impressed Lady Freyberg. During the week-end the party paid a fishing visit to Rotorua, where they had some success.
